Chuck Greene returned for another tour directing Land of the Sky Chorus in January, 2006. During more than 30 years as a Barbershop Harmony Society member, his a cappella choral directing experience includes 14 years directing the Land-of-the-Sky Chorus and 5 years directing the Asheville Sweet Adelines Song o' Sky Chorus.

Quartet activity is a strong part of Chuck's barbershopping background. He has sung in two Dixie District champion quartets and has competed six times at the international level in four different quartets. He is membership chair of the North Carolina Harmony Brigade which sponsors annual activities for high-level freelance quartetters. Chuck has also enjoyed coaching and mentoring several college quartets.

In 2003 the Barbershop Harmony Society chose Chuck to chair the Society's Envisioning Task Force. Much of what that Task Force saw for the future of the Society is being implemented by Chuck in the Asheville Chapter. Says Chuck:
"Organizations thrive when they honor people's time with value, efficiency and fun."

Administratively, Chuck has served at the District level as Division Vice President, Area Counselor and Rebel Rouser Editor. He frequently emcees District contests and barbershop shows. He has also served at the chapter level as President, Membership VP and Program VP and has twice been selected as his chapter's Barbershopper-of-the-Year.

Chuck, a native North Carolinian who moved to Asheville from Raleigh in 1975, is degreed in Business Management and has additional formal education in vocal music. Currently he consults as a visionary strategist and performance coach for choral organizations.
